Avi is looking for you to join his Planetside 2 army!
[future edits that will be needed: 1) Encourage downtalking the enemy. 2) Split team into key roles: Soldiers, Support, Specialists 3) Utilize maps and break down how certain locations work. 4) Recommend certification builds based on Survival ability first, followed by practicality. 5) Gun review videos giving good options. 6) charts with all dat data.]
First things first: the Vanu are what would happen if Scientologists had a baby with the Westborough Baptists and trained it militarily for preventing the Rapture. We will never play as the Vanu except for the purpose of testing weapons to better understand our enemy.
With that said, I welcome you to our little Planetside info HQ. Currently we are running small ops, and taking low-populated territory through our teamwork efforts. In time, I hope to find a way to expand that to organized raids on higher end targets.
There's a lot to cover here, but for now I'll leave it at this.

docs.google.com/spreadsheet/pub?key=0AuOojvNLMApVdEtIU1NKenEzNzZOSWNaanFqSUVxLWc&gid=12gentlemen, I give you all the numbers we need. This so far confirms ALL the infiltrator weapons except pistols are identical. The scout rifles have the same numbers, and every sniper rifle worth more than 500 credits are virtually identical. So, yeah, look carefully through the weapons your class will use and let's start comparing what's the same and what's not. Cause this will make the "what do I spend 1000 credits on?" question a LOT easier after having something like this to compare with.

Fucking hell, the semi auto snipers? You know, the ones with a 6x or higher scope? SAME DAMAGE. I shit you not. This means the bolt action snipers, the semi auto snipers, and the fully auto scout snipers do the exact same damage. This means infiltrator doesn't mean a fucking thing on any faction. They're all literally the exact same. This shit blows my God-damned mind.
More info as it comes!

Shotguns do the same damage.

All rockets confirmed to be the same. Lock-on missles do 200 less damage. VS have an extra dumbfired rocket launcher that does 2000 (+300 damage compared to the other dumbfires) that's pricier, but obviously better.
How the fuck? NC specialize in hard hitting and explosives right? This makes no fucking sense and requires more investigation.

Heavy assault weapons: TR-minigun, NC-shotgun, VS-wtf plasma orb gun thing
All of these are faction exclusive. I'll try to look into the minigun.

Hey Avi no double posting lol - Seriously speaking I have obtained the Spawn Beacon unlock, therefore you guys are able to hot drop anywhere I set the beacon. I've also obtained the Sunderer's perk for making it deployable. I think Min and I were leveling up vehicles, I will be leveling up the Sunderer some more to make it much more beefier and deadly with new weapon upgrades. I know Min loves being in heavy armor(insert tree joke) - So maybe getting a mobile ammo supply on the Sunderer can help as well. Vehicles aside, my role as a combat Medic stays the same. I firmly believe that medics shouldn't be hidden behind cover and just be mindlessly there like a drone reviving people. During my time with Avi, I've found more uses for the medic in terms of scouting, recon, and giving out suppressive fire. As you all know PS2 is very unforgiving to infantry troops against tanks and such. Heavy Assault is the class I am also investing certs into. I seem to have a knack in figuring out the distance towards firing rockets into enemy armor. I hate the Vanu and their fucking Magriders and it gives me this face every time I destroy one. Hope to see you guys all on Auraxis By the way Vanu aren't soldiers. They are just wannabe Covenant running around in purple spandex.

Update!
I now have a plan of action for Taion. Since you're going with Sunderer specialization, I got a list of things we're gonna need. 1) Aquisition timer: Now that you got our armor beefy, this is the top priority for the sunderer. We can shave 6 minutes off of respawn time for the total cost of 91 certs. AND if we wanna double the time saving, it's only 100 certs to double that 6 minutes to 12 minutes off the timer. That's so damn nuts --especially considering HOW we use the sunderer.
This has to be our top priority if it's not already.
2) Weapons & their priority: After looking at the weapon reviews, I can safely say our first gun we get for your sunderer NEEDS to be the G30 Walker. Why? Because the ammunition it uses is Soft Point. This means it's best for anti-air, but more importantly it's still good against infantry. Also, the ROF is crazy good. And since the default weapon is meant to be good against everything, we still keep our anti-vehicle weapon that is good for personal too. That said, the next weapon needs to be the M40 Fury. The reload is super fast, and is designed for anti-vehicle. But, unlike the bulldog (aka the one we first planned on getting) this gun is still a one-shot kill on infantry and destroys maxes too. WHEN COMBINED we'll have a damn good Anti-air, AND, Anti-vehicle AND both guns are inherently Anti-personal with a bonus Anti-max on the side. Best combo ever.
The hardest part about this is getting the Aquisition timer down is CHEAP compared to the guns. Cause guess what? Not even 200 certs and we're good for most of the game. After that? 1000 credits... But if you watch the Walker in action on youtube, you'll see that thing is a bullet hose compared to what we have. And bullet hoses are best hoses. Imagine how easy it'll be to defend our sunderer if we're trying to keep it alive when we can triple the number of bullets being flung at the enemy. But, it's still 1000 credits, and we don't have a credit trading system in the game... So I have no idea how we'll even get this far into PS2 without being crazy people.

Lags too much, 3.60Ghz quad core and it still likes to chug often even despite distance shit
Tell me when this magic optimizing update that you were talking about comes out, then I can join the fray again

They optimize it when people complain, then they butcher the game to add new stuff --probably knowing it'll get people to bitch about optimization to give them time to think of new ideas that they can't come up with on their own. PROGRESS!
